I had a powerful Clinical Pilates session this morning and did a few things I wouldn’t have thought I could do. With this came a great sense of achievement, and just a little bit – well maybe a lot – of amazement at what I could do. This has been a progressive journey, building foundation moves, strengthening muscles, retraining old body patterns and mindset so that I could release the ‘I can’t’ and replace it with ‘Let’s see’. . 🍃 . Each day is a building block, whether it’s similar to my story or working towards some new goal. Laying solid foundations sets us up so that we can do those ‘I never thought I could’ things. These foundations help us gain confidence in our ability to go further, dive deeper and experience life even more profoundly. Just remember to have patience, compassion and love, and be bountiful when lavishing yourself with them. Each step, no matter how small it seems, is a big step. As the saying goes ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’. Yet it was built with solid foundations and stands to this day. 🍃 . So now it’s time for me to rest and replenish, to support and nurture my physical body after a solid workout.
